Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

If I were to say that the singular experience is motivating me to start doing food reviews of ethnic and cultural food in Wisconsin, that would be an understatement to my experience at Patty and Pablo's. My husband and I first time walking in there. Comfortable and inviting. We started off with coffee. I had a ice latte, while my husband had a cup of coffee. I respond immediately to my first step. Slight release of happiness that my coffee was strong sweet and savory. Refreshing absolutely. We ordered the steak asada, huevos rancheros, and the Chiliequete. The steak asada made me want to kiss the chef. The shoe string fries maintain their crunchiness while absorbing all of the various sauces. The lime and the cilantro brought that brightness, all around balanced with perfect amount of salt. Sincerely brought some tears in my eyes. My experience continued while time after time played over the speakers in rhythmic Mexican guitar. By the time the main courses arrived I was near full. Several bites into my breakfast, I started to feel a second wind. Beyond my happiness and content, I had to surrender and ask for a box to bring home. At this moment all the leftovers are annihilated. Beyond anything, the refried beans stood out to me the most. This is a black bean refried bean. Eating it I didn't get the subtle flavor of peanut butter, like most refried beans from Mexican family restaurants. These were clean bright and refreshing. I could also tell that these beans were soaked not from a can. As far as I can tell this is a from scratch restaurant ❤️❤️❤️ 100/100 💯 Will be back!!

I loved the food - best brunch! Super friendly service from this family restaurant! I had the Huevos Rancheros which, for SAP fans, Pablos has the original recipe. Chilaquiles, french toast, everything! So good. Be patient with service - it is mom and dad cooking and kids running the front service! Worth it - stop by!!

Our visit to Patty & Pablo’s was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The place had a great atmosphere — clean, bright, and welcoming — and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The chilaquiles were absolutely incredible. The flavors came together perfectly, and the texture was spot on — easily one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve had in a long time. I added chorizo, which was excellent, giving the dish just the right amount of spice without overpowering the rest of the meal. I also tried the horchata, which was okay — not bad, just a little more mild than I expected. Meanwhile, the boys ordered waffles, which they thought were just average. Looking back, they all said they would’ve preferred to go with the tacos, which looked amazing at the next table over. Even with those minor notes, everything about the visit — from the service to the atmosphere — made it clear that Patty & Pablo’s puts a lot of care into what they do. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. We left full and happy, and we’d definitely come back again, especially for those chilaquiles!
