Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I rarely give one star reviews but I honestly can’t believe that this place is not rated any worse. We came after a long day of hiking so we were pretty dang hungry. The first impression of this little cafe was already not so great… there was no one at the register and everything looked a little run down, one of the tables were not even cleaned. But no problem, we still had hope for the food at this point. We ordered the steak and fries (over $20), the Reina pepiada ($10) and the cheese ball ($9). The steak was very very very thin and the fries were frozen fries that were not even hot. The Reina pepiada was taco size and it only came with one (for $10??? Come on!), and the chicken was overly salty. There was no service at all, we were given tiny little white plastic cups for water. For $50 we left still hungry and very pissed off. Would have had a better meal at McDonald’s. I do not recommend this place at all.

I've entered in this place and the lady has been extremely nice with me, in fact we've spent a lot of time talking together. I ordered the arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) and it was simply.... delicious!!! It's definitely a good place with very good and warm people 🧡 and I recommend it!

Not your usual restaurant. Home made delicious Peruvian and Venezuelan food. Almost all dishes are gluten-free including the empenadas. It is run by an amazing lady and her husband. Expect the warm welcome of Peru not the usual American service. We left full and extremely happy.
