One of our favorite local restaurants! Larry and Jennie are always welcoming and attentive. One time I brought my whole family, and Larry kindly offered my parents hot water without me even asking, which we really appreciated. My favorite dish is the Shaken Beef. We usually dine in, but even as a to-go order it was still delicious and carefully packed. We’ll definitely keep coming back!

Big Bowl Carrollton: A Flavor-Packed Family Favorite TL;DR: Big Bowl Carrollton delivers authentic, high-quality Vietnamese flavors in a massive, lively space that’s perfect for families and solo-dolo diners alike. Can a restaurant maintain "first-visit" magic for over half a year? Since my first bowl here in July 2025 to my most recent visit today in February 2026, Big Bowl has been remarkably consistent. The food and service remain top-tier, and the sheer size of the place means you’re rarely stuck waiting for a table, even when the energy is high. The menu is a roadmap of authentic hits. If you’re chasing deep, savory pork flavor, the C1 is your go-to. For those who want a bit of everything—fresh veggies and a sampler of authentic bites—the C5 is the winner. But the real star of the show is the Pho; specifically, the meatball and steak combo. It’s a rich, comforting bowl that never misses the mark. To wash it all down, the tea limeade is a must-try. It’s essentially their take on an Arnold Palmer, balancing the tea and citrus perfectly. If you go for the straight limeade, be warned: it’s wonderfully tart. I personally love the kick, but it might be a bit much for the faint of heart. The Flipside: The environment is very "lively family style." If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate candlelit dinner, this isn't it. It’s loud, bustling, and full of energy—great for a group, but maybe not for a library-quiet study session. Pro Tips: Don't stress about the crowd; the space is huge, so there is almost always plenty of seating available. If you aren't a fan of super sour drinks, stick to the tea limeade rather than the straight limeade. I also saw a lot of guys order the Thai thea. The C5 is the best way to get a "little bit of everything" if you're indecisive. The service is "family style" in the best way—attentive and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Final Thoughts: Big Bowl Carrollton nails the essentials: amazing food, plenty of space, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a Pho fanatic or a pork lover, it’s a spot that deserves a place in your regular rotation. After all, life’s too short for mediocre broth. 🍜 🍋

First time dining here and it was absolutely amazing. Every dish was delicious. Service was timing and great hospitality. Kelly was a wonderful server. She made sure we knew what we were ordering and explained the different portions and help us decide on our orders. Definitely will be returning
