So it's probably been about 30 years since I had Vietnamese food and don't really remember much about it, but I did want to try it again, so myself and AK decided to try Pho Nominal in beautiful downtown Binghamton. As they were bringing everything to our table, we had plenty of questions about the condiments and sauces on the table. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us decide what we wanted to eat. All in all, the food and drinks were great, and I will return. 🍴👌😋

The restaurant is extremely clean. Other than the customers talking, there is no background noise so it was easy to hear the table conversation as if we were in our own dining room eating at home. I had the pork spring roll, which was crispy and definitely not oily. The pork flavor came through, but did not overpower the subtle of vegetable flavoring. The Thai tea was adequate, much better than a soda. The person was standing with had the chicken wings and Syd said they were very delicious. I had the Pho shrimp which is a large serving, so don’t order a lot of other things if you’re going to have the Pho. The shrimp had flavor, therefore it was not overcooked. The beef broth was flavorful and not salty. The fresh onions and a spicy oil rounded out to dish. There is an ample quantity of noodles. At the table next to the napkins are chopsticks, as well as Silverware that is sealed in a paper container like a straw. The waitress, whose first initial is K, checked back frequently to make sure that everything was to our expectations. The person I was standing with had a lemon grass hoagie with beef, a spicy level of one. After we’re done eating, they commented that they would like to come back sometime soon to have it again. Parking is around the corner. There’s zero step entrance. Lots of space between the Tables on the right side of the dining room and the staff area/counter on the left.

I recently came here with some friends for lunch. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with grilled chicken, shrimp, and spring roll. It came with sauce on the side. I was a little surprised to see just 3 pieces of shrimp, for some reason I was expecting more based on the menu photo of the dish. Overall, this dish tasted average. Portion wise, this dish will fill you up. Also, side note you have to pay extra if you ask for more sauce for this dish which I didn’t know until I asked for more sauce. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee and I wish it was more sweetened but that is my personal preference. Service was mediocre, the waitresses could have been more attentive to our table but they did seem busy attending to other groups that came in after us.
