Decent food. I’ll probably try a different restaurant next time I fly through Detroit, but I’m glad I tried Piata. They have pretty good vegetarian options here which was the appeal for me. The price for what I got was somewhat reasonable. I had a falafel pita. It was fine but just a little bland even with the tzatziki, and kind of oily. It seemed like there may have been olive oil spread on the pita, which slid off when I picked it up. I did not think this was necessary. I liked the pita itself - it was soft but sturdy. I upgraded to the patatas bravas instead of fries. The sauce was again plain, but the potatoes themselves were very good and seasoned nicely, although I would’ve liked less salty. They brought me fries by mistake, and I tried a few since they didn’t take them away after they brought the patatas bravas, and they were also pretty good fries. Great service. My waitress was very friendly and cheerful. When my plate of food was brought out, it had fries on it, and I was going to just accept the fries and make sure I wasn’t billed for the patatas bravas, but the waitress came by right away and told me she’d bring out the bravas. I ate in the table service section of the restaurant and was in and out in roughly half an hour.

I love shawarmas so i was excited to try this restaurant at the airport while waiting to board my flight. But we were so wrong. It was the one if the most disappointing meals in my entire life considering it was a more upscale airport food to eat. We ordered a shawarma plate and it was literally just shawarma, carrots and some rice. The portions are embarrassingly small for what they charge you for. The chicken was so dry and unseasoned. It’s such a disgrace to call this shawarma. The carrots are okay, but they’re kinda bland as if you cook this for a baby to eat. Tzaziki was extra despite the fact that this meal is literally inedible without sauce as it is dry and flavorless. to think we spent almost 30 for this plate. Never again. If you leave a restaurant hungry and need to eat again, then something is horribly wrong. I would give 0 stars if i could! We went to qdoba after and we got so much better food and portions for less than the price

Hey, it's airport food! This is my second meal at this restaurant and just as good as the first time. Piata Restaurant is in the Delta concourse of DTW. While my wife was enjoying the Delta One Lounge food and drinks, I was looking for some good food at a fair price, and I remembered this place from my last trip to the Baltics. Always seems to be busy, but they manage crowds very well. Got seated in a minute (since I was alone), order was taken quickly, and did not wait for the meal very long at all. Again, this is airport food. The reason I ate here again, was that I had the thought that even though all airport food is expensive, sometimes you can get some value along with a tasty meal. And I was not mistaken. It's great to sit down, sip on a beer and watch the mayhem during the end of a holiday at an international airport. Not a huge menu, but all faiths, genders, and political leanings are covered. I recommend, please prove me wrong.
