This Philadelphia restaurant has garnered praise for its exceptional service and creative plant-based dishes. Reviewers consistently rave about the Golden Beet Salad, Sourdough Focaccia, and Honeynut Squash Cheesecake, with many noting the generous complimentary serving of Cremini Carpaccio. The chefs' attention to detail and willingness to share their expertise at the counter have also been highlighted as a unique and enjoyable experience. While the restaurant has received high praise, some reviewers have noted a few quirks to be aware of. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, and the beer selection is not on tap. Additionally, some reviewers have mentioned that the cocktails may not be served at the ideal temperature. However, these minor issues do not detract from the overall exceptional experience that this restaurant offers.

Excerpts

I ordered the Golden Beet Salad, Sourdough Focaccia, Tagliatelle, and Honeynut Squash Cheesecake. They kindly gave me a complimentary serving of the Cremini Carpaccio; I ate the matsutake mushroom tamari, Meyer lemon, and Sicilian olive oil sauce with a spoon, it was so good!

A transcendent experience! We sat at the counter and it was awesome to have the chefs serve us the dish and talk about what goes into it. The food was amazing, especially as vegetarians. We felt like you couldn’t go wrong with any of the dishes on the menu. While the beer is not on tap and the cocktails may not have been served at the ideal temperature, this did not impact our overall experience and definitely an improvement from when we went last. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Who would’ve guessed that one of the best vegan restaurants is located in Philly? We dined at the restaurant on a Saturday evening and the experience was exceptional. Everything we tasted was on point. We especially enjoyed the dishes with cashew cheese (the chicory salad and cacio e Pepe) but other dishes were great as well. Mushroom “steak” was one of the best that we had tried with great smoky flavor from the charcoal roast. Cremini carpaccio was done well, every ingredient playing a part and combining into delicious bites. We found that some of the mushroom pieces that hadn’t been touched by the grace of the seasoning and nuts were not as good. Ice cream was good but it didn’t wow us as much as other dishes. But these are very nitpicky complaints. Every dish was thoughtfully put together and tasted great. The service was fantastic as well.
