Pita Gourmet was a very pleasant surprise for Cortland. The menu and the dishes themselves feel thoughtfully put together and true to the spirit of Middle Eastern cuisine, with flavors that taste fresh, balanced, and carefully prepared rather than generic. There’s a great range of options: pita wraps and other easy-to-eat items that work perfectly for takeout, as well as full plated dishes that feel right for a proper sit-down meal. It makes the place useful for almost any occasion, from a quick bite to a more relaxed dinner. Preparation was quick, the staff were friendly, and the overall experience left a strong impression. If I find myself in Cortland again, I’ll definitely be stopping here.

Decent place with authentic Mediterranean food cooked to order. I had the spicy chicken beast and asked for it hot, it was very good but not as hot as I would have liked. The beef kebab was cooked with onion and was decent but I wouldn't order it again as the beef was pretty hard to chew through. The greek salad was great, fresh feta cheese, tomatoes and olives with a pit still inside. Best thing I had was the baklava, and I think this was probably the best baklava I've ever had! Would highly recommend it to any fan of baklava, it was definitely made in house and the Crispy crunchy filo dough was perfect and the touch of honey was not overwhelming at all, mildly sweet I'd call it. Would definitely go back, especially for the baklava.

Worst gyro ever. Very disappointed of our lunch today. I have been to pita gourmet in numerous times in the past and everything was very good but this time was the worst experience ever. It is my fiancée’s and I first time to Pita Gourmet in like 3 years and we definitely noticed the difference. We got the chicken gyro and there was barely any chicken in it (attached picture). The lentil soup was basically just lentils with TONS of pepper, the Shawarma plate was extra small, and it tasted terribly. For apps we ordered falafels 🧆 and they were dry and cold. ANYTHING of what we ordered we liked. I usually do not like to be a Karen, but this were so hungry and this experience made me extra HANGRY. I left the whole gyro, and even told the server we were very dissatisfied and she did nothing to get us the manager or try to give us a discount. I’m still extra mad.
