Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The food here is outstanding! It tasted less like a restaurant and more like someone prepared it for us in their home. The sampler plate was huge! Not like I have had at other polish restraunts, this had full proportions of food. They let you choose from the lunch menu all day. The dining room was cute and comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly. We will be back.

There's alot to like about the food and wonderful, warm service. I ordered the Polish Plate... *Polish sausage was the best quality with a great "snap" and perfectly cooked. *Boiled pierogies were perfection. *Braised cabbage was flavorful. *Cabbage roll was great quality but lacked flavor-almost like they forgot to season it. *Potato pancake was dry and tasteless. Very surprising, given the quality of the other items. Now for dessert... *Cheesecake - it was ok, but a weird texture....almost like cheesecake filling and traditional cake were mixed and the crust was pretty tough on the bottom. We also brought home several items.. *Chicken soup - big disappointment. It's noodles were like those in an instant soup mix. Barely any chicken and 2 small pieces of carrots. Really poor quality...don't waste your money on it. *Pierogies- 5 cheese and potato ones for $9. They were excellent. However, all you get are the pierogies...no side...nada...very pricey. All in all, I still think this a great place for several of the previously mentioned reasons, so please give them a try.

A nice Polish restaurant in Lake Zurich, IL. They serve good pierogi, probable better prepared steamed than fried. The fire alarm went off while we visited, which was a bit disconcerting, but i suspect this is a rare event. The staff were friendly and polite. They had some tasty Polish sparkling water that enhanced the Polish feeling of the meal.
