Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I waited until I'd visited a couple of times to review, and oh my goodness! I have just fallen in love with Pono Bowl Co. I have picked up in person both times, and the atmosphere is cozy and open. There's plenty of seating as well a variety of ways to get comfortable, like the window ledge seating or the plush couches towards the back. This trip sure didn't disappoint! I ordered the Hana in the 16 oz size and the simple avocado toast. Both were flavorful, light, and filling without the bloat. The pineapple and coconut water shine, and the chia seeds are a nice touch of fiber and not over done. I normally hate sourdough (I know) but decided to try the toast as-is and it was honestly so fresh and tasted great with the avocado; I didn't even care. I had to eat it in two sittings. My previous visit, I ordered the Ono Greens and the Easy Breezy. YUM. If you think of ordering here for a snack or side to something else, it can get expensive, but in my case this was a healthy breakfast (and lunch) on the go, and completely worth every dime. I have no doubt I will be back.

This place feels like the ultimate hang out spot to relax and spend time with friends while enjoying a refreshing and delicious smoothie bowl and avocado toast. They’re all quite delicious. The place has so much room and you’re able to sit inside or under cover outside, if you’d like, in a nice area. I would like to see some small improvements but I am highly recommending this place as is as they’re quite fantastic. One is that they provide water in two places but it would be so much nicer to keep it cold or provide ice too. The other is to ask to provide the avocado toast slices as smashed and covering the whole toast versus only sliced onto the bread. Third, my daughter was really hoping to find a foosball table. She’s been to some places around the USA that did smoothie bowls and there was something just extra awesome to her about having that perk. There was a nice sitting area with magazines. Might be nice to have some puzzle games too. The cheerful attitude of all of the staff is a huge bonus! It’s a very inviting and fun atmosphere to be there.

I tried the Pono Bowl truck for my first time today and am so glad I did! I got the Grinder bowl and it was so amazing! All ingredients were so fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back soon to try everything else on the menu!!
