Went for an early dinner Friday afternoon. Arrived around 330, and were promptly seated. Server arrived quickly, and took drink orders. We started with apps, stuffed portabello and a shrimp corn chowder. Both were excellent and served piping hot! Great job! could have been a little better if the pita triangles were actually warm and crispy. They were too soft and when you have a soft cheesy thing, you want something with a little bite to it.... Things took a slight turn after the apps.... We ordered a pizza and also two entree's, the LA Pasta and the Eggplant Parmesan. The LA pasta was pretty good.... The eggplant parmesan was a huge disappointment.... The main problem being there was almost no eggplant.... a heaping mound of pasta, way too much, to make the plate look big and full... what was served was a single very thin slice of eggplant that was breaded and mushy. The breading was mushy. it had so much breading my first couple bites. I could not even detect eggplant. there was plenty of cheese on top. probably more cheese than eggplant. I was expecting at least 2 or 3 layers of eggplant like most Italian places would do.... I'm not sure why they feel the need to load the plate with angel hair pasta. there was 80% pasta on the plate and maybe 20% of the eggplant dish.... you'll see a picture of what was remaining after the eggplant was taken off and a picture with the eggplant on there... It was just not a good dish. Now on to the pizza. when it came out I immediately noticed it was severely undercooked and I asked if they could put this back in the oven for a while... we got a very strange response saying that if they put it back in the oven it would get burned... now if this was Dominic or a situation that it was a conveyor oven, I could understand that... however, that was not the case and I'm not sure why they couldn't put it back in the oven. she said they could put it back in a box and keep it on a warmer... however, they issue was that it was severely undercooked. not even a hint of brown on the cheese.... we asked for it back and what we thought was going to happen would happen. it was put in a box and just kept on a warmer and now it was not cooked anymore but a little more mushy. we asked him again to put it back in the oven which they did and when it came out it's still was not really fully cooked... take a look for yourself.. I didn't want it burnt, but I'd like the pepperoni a little crispy and the cheese to have some brownness... that's how a pizza should be cooked. that's how a pizza should be cooked... I wish the server would have noticed my plate that had almost all of it remaining from the eggplant and asked if there was an issue. I would have just politely explained. I was expecting more eggplant and a lot less pasta.... she didn't ask how everything was or if there was an issue, so they failed on the service there. I'd like to give this place maybe a 3.8 but obviously we can't do that and I don't think it was worth four stars... Perhaps they can rethink their eggplant, and include at least two pieces of eggplant, preferably three... should be stacked up like lasagna... that would be a proper serving... The atmosphere was nice and it's very cozy.

So excited to have had the pleasure to eat here for the second time My group always orders this spaghetti with meatballs and absolutely love it but I dying on a different scale when I can get good Italian. This time I chose the small plate of the Veal Picatta special. It was so tasty and yummy All the foods coming out around our table looked absolutely delicious Our server was the same and she is spot on and is as friendly to accommodate us. We look forward to going again soon.
