Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

In a town like Seymour where Mexican restaurants are everywhere, Puerto Vallarta truly stands out!! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the service was great. The food was amazing. The tamales were top-notch, packed with flavor, and the sauce they were served with took them to the next level. The chicken tortilla soup tasted so fresh and comforting. I also highly recommend trying the margarita flight—it was a highlight!! Claudia was our server and she was so sweet and friendly. Also a few other employees checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves —great team effort and welcoming vibe. The dining room and restrooms were impressively clean and well-kept, which shows they truly care about their restaurant and customers. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Puerto Vallarta is a must-try — highly recommend.

First visit left a great impression. The owner (one of them, not sure which) was incredibly friendly and when I lost my margarita duck he offered me another one. The bartender we had upon walking in was polite, though he struggled with english and didn't speak to us much. He made a delicious margarita! They use the blue agave Jose Cuervo and it's so smooth I didn't even notice an alcohol taste but that one small glass knocked me down. 😂 The owner asked if I'd like another, which I did, but came via motorcycle and needed to keep the ability to stay upright. He said next time if I have 2 drinks he'll give me a free shot. He's got good humour, very sociable. I got the vegetarian fajitas which were very yummy. Will definitely return and bring others.
