Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

It's possible that our expectations were too high but with Ramsay's name on the door and the high prices, we were fairly underwhelmed. My husband ordered the fish and chips. It's one of his favorite dishes and he tries it at different places. He was not impressed with the small portion and said that the fish was just ok. I ordered the crispy skin salmon and I was very happy with all of the flavors, super delicious. The sticky rice was also wonderful, very unique taste and the sauce it all came with was a perfect complement to the food. It did leave me wanting more as the portions were very small. We had the chocolate tart for dessert and it was rich and delicious. The service was great from host to server. The atmosphere was pleasant but nothing that stands out one way or the other.

Ramsay’s Kitchen in Naperville absolutely lived up to the hype. Everything we ordered was amazing, and there wasn’t a single miss. The fish and chips were honestly the best I’ve ever had (and that’s one of my favorite meals), perfectly crispy and flavorful. My wife had the signature Wellington, and it was also incredible (she shared a bite and it did not disappoint). Our server, Zach, was fantastic. He was super attentive and helpful without ever hovering. Service like that really makes a difference. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but the portions are generous and the quality is outstanding, so it feels totally worth it. Every dish was beautifully made and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a special meal that’s worth every penny, this is the place.

I'm quite perplexed by the 4-star average rating. This place is excellent! There is tons of parking via a parking lot in the rear. You can easily reserve tables online. The food is superb for the price. The place has light background music, but overall you will never have to raise your voice to talk to people. It's not very loud. All the appetizers we tried were great! The shishito peppers and tuna tartare are easy recommendations. The bread was good, but the butter wasn't seasoned in any way. I would pass on that next time. The beef wellington and lamb were amazing. My only experience with beef wellington was on cruise ships, and it was so tender, juicy and full of flavor it makes the cruise ship beef wellington look like a McDonald's hamburger. The lamb was insanely juicy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. You only needes a butter knife to cut through it. For our group of six, from walking through the entrance to leaving was just under two hours. It was a very well paced meal.
