This unassuming cafe in Angeles Canyon has garnered praise for its unexpected Ethiopian menu, which is a standout feature. Reviewers have consistently raved about the sambusa, anjeera with beef stew, and other dishes, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a unique dining experience. While the cafe's charm and food have won over many, it's worth noting that wait times can be a bit lengthy, especially during peak hours. Reservations may be a good idea to ensure a smooth dining experience. Additionally, the cafe's hours and availability may vary, so it's best to check ahead of time to plan your visit.

Excerpts

Tasteless (no salt or seasoning) and overpriced. Not trying to hate on this place, but it was bad - probably some of the worse food I can remember. Maybe I ordered the wrong item or the cook was having an off day. I almost always finish my food, but couldn't here. I ordered their breakfast burrito that's $18.99 comes with options of choice breakfast meats and either hash browns or country potatoes. I went with all bfast meats and hashbrowns in burrito with a side order of country potatoes and a soft drink - this was $29.06. I was ready for this burrito to be great, but it was an incredible let down. Throughout the bites of the bfast burrito I had there was little to no meat. All I could taste was flavorless egg and hashbrown with onions bits here and there for some flavor. The rare pieces of bfast meat were so minimal it was overpowered by flavorless eggs and hash browns. The only thing that offset the bland flavor was their decent green salsa that was more sweet than spicy. It helped me try to get through the burrito. The country potatoes were somehow worse than the burrito. It was literally potatoes and a piece of green pepper. No salt, no pepper, no onion, no seasoning or flavor. I heavily salted and peppered these potatoes to give them some flavor and it barley helped. Potatoes were unevenly cooked as well - some soft and some barley cooked.

Incredibly good food tucked away in a very unassuming little Cafe. This little hidden gem is a sleeper up in the Angeles Canyon. The unexpected Ethiopian menu was absolutely delicious, we ordered the sambusa, the chicken and the anjeera with beef stew. This is such a great little place, filled with halt regulars and staff. Definitely worth a trip if you're anywhere in the area, they're Mexican and American menu are pretty good as well. Highly recommend. We celebrated Mother's Day at this restaurant after a nice walk at the Mile Run in the Hansen Dam Park. When you walk in you'll be transported to the golden age of Hollywood cowboys with their murals. We were seated immediately and our order was taken quickly after. The restaurant was a bit busy so it took some time to receive out order but not much. The food and coffee were great. I got french toast, hash browns, and a side of Ethiopian veggies. The service we got was amazing because the owners are their working with smiles on. Come to the Valley and checkout this small and quaint family owned restaurant.
