Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Pretty good tacos. Fried ice cream dessert was HUGE for $6 and very tasty, would recommend to split if full from your meal. Quick and friendly service.

If you’re looking for a home cooked meal, this is your spot as Gabriel and Little Gabe makes you feel right at home!!!. As an avid traveler, I stayed in SP for a whole week and ate here everyday. The chicken street tacos were amazing, cubed/diced just how I love them, not shredded which holds no flavor. The lengua tacos just melt on your tongue (pun intended), steak tacos and the Birria were phenomenal as well. I did prefer the caldo de res over the seafood soup. Homemade chips, and a special spicy salsa made specifically because I have a need for spice. Ask for the XXXX sauce!!! I usually wouldn’t leave reviews but it’ll truly be a disservice to the establishment. I would definitely recommend and visit whenever in town! PS. I’ve tried Shallow waters and the best thing’s the breading on the cheese curds. Expensive lamb shank that just tasted like a piece of meat. No seasoning whatsoever. Young lady bartending was super cool though! Also tried O’Yeah Ya’ll BBQ, trash! Got wings, mango habanero sauce “extra crispy”. Took two bites, asked for a Togo box and actually left the food right there. Waste of time

Our server was nice attentive and made sure everything was good. The food was very good. Just the right amount of spicy. Not too hot just right. The burrito with shredded beef and beans was really good. The appetizer nachos was amazing I would recommend getting it with steak. They have Coke from Mexico which tastes better than regular Coke. If you want some real authentic Mexican food come here and get it.
