Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Red Chop sticks in my new favorite Chinese takeout! The egg-rolls and wantons were unique in that the dough tasted of egg. Like they were freshly made. Wantons were much larger than other places and filled with a lot of meat. The entrees we ordered Spicy Chicken and Garlic Chicken combo platters were great too. They made them with more spicy for us. Garlic Chicken was especially good tasting and it included larger than usual mini corn cobs. Red Chopsticks elevates Chinese take out steps above the rest. We can’t wait to order again.

I ordered wanton soup and boneless ribs. The soup is full of pepper. If you like pepper than you’d love it. The ribs were reheated and brushed with oil - no sauce. They bordered the texture of leather. The reviews were so good, that I went out of my way to go there. They do let you take as many sauces or plastic utensils as you’d like and the young lady was very friendly. It’s just the food I ordered wasn’t a 10.

Excellent food and service. When first moved to LI, I was ordering from the overpriced restaurants until I discovered Red Chopsticks which was recommended by my brother. The owners are friendly, and the food is EXCELLENT. If you haven’t tried it as yet, what are you waiting for.
