We really enjoy trying new restaurants and supporting small businesses when we can, and we were anxious to try this new place in downtown Overland Park for breakfast. The facility was nice with an open store front, and the coffee was good, but unfortunately those are the only positives in our visit. After having to navigate the order tablet by ourselves, and swiping my credit card $45 for the two of us, we found a table. We are very familiar with traditional mexican food, and our meals fell way short of our expectation. My girlfriend couldn't even finish her sandwich, yes just a sandwich, because brisket was so salty. I did finish my eggs, because I was hungry, but it was very salty too, and the beans were cold. We ended up hitting McDonald's on the way home. We will not return.

This hidden gem is run by an incredible woman who pours heart and soul into every dish. Her tamales are easily some of the best in Kansas City — flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and made with obvious care. You can taste the love in every bite. Supporting this small, locally owned spot is a no-brainer. Highly recommend!
