Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Hometown local place, right across the street from Oaklawn. No need to play dress up, or fix your hair just right. This is the place you come to eat with friends, with a come as you are attitude. Waitstaff are casually friendly, if you want to know about thier kids, ask them, they'll tell you. Enough about the atmosphere....lets get to the food, after all that's what your here for. Let me just say its the pizza I go for. Call it deep dish, thick crust, or Chicago style, that's my pie! The Rocky's Corner Champ is my favorite, hold the olives please.

This place is amazing, we've eaten at places all over the US, I'm from Chicago and know good italian food, pizza was seasoned so good, crust and toppings were great, had calamari as appetizer, it's one of the best I've ever ate, not chewy like most restaurants serve, but very tender, chicken alfredo really good, lots of chicken breast and Alfredo is made from scratch, fresh parmesan, marinara was really good too, homemade, great flavor. We went during their happy hr, they had pitchers of tap beer $2.00 off, and by the mug discount, we will definitely be going bk, the next time we're in town, wait staff was great we had Barbie, she knew answers to every question we asked. During racing season she said they are pretty busy, try it out, promise you won't be disappointed. My only suggestion would be to elevate your salads, too include like cheese and maybe croutons. Homemade ranch dressing was great.

Food is tasty, service very good, Not sure if they can do anything about making more rm for walkers, whlchairs etc. Waitress was polite/ efficient. Crowded/ cramped by frt door, cold breeze upon opening door,... Nothing special for atmosphere, but duable.
