Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Such a nice afternoon with my husband. We came to try the pizza, pasta and cannoli. Very pleased with the amount of food we got and such a calm and helpful waitress.

This is my second time visiting. I decided to come in for my birthday. Yes it’s a laid-back atmosphere, but it’s such a calming and wonderful place to dine. I have not had any complaints with my food yet🙂 if you’re looking for Italian cuisine, I suggest coming here to eat. I can’t stop eating the bread.😂 Sabrina was our server for the second time. She was so pleasant knowledgeable about the food and completely understood, but my pallet has been missing.

We ordered the fried mozzarella. It tasted old! We couldn’t eat it. They were gracious enough to take it off the bill. My daughter’s fettuccine Alfredo was good but my eggplant parmigiana was severely lacking. As I told a family member, if we had a family dinner that was cooked by our young nieces and nephews, we’d say, “ good job! you are really learning how to cook! We’re proud of you.” But it wasn’t 14 year old Jimmy cooking. This was a professional. The dinner salad was just a handful of bagged iceberg lettuce mix like Walmart sells with a touch of spring lettuce mix thrown in. No cucumber slice, not even one cherry tomato, and not even a hint of a bit of onion. Salad dressings were store bought. Very average. Again, “Jimmy, you’re doing a good job, sweetie. Auntie is so proud of you.” As far as atmosphere, it looks like it’s seen happier days. There are nicely painted murals and a grand piano. But the floor tiles are cracked and most of the chairs need paint (the paint is totally worn away on the bottom of the legs). It looks kind of like it’s down on its luck but putting on a smile and pretending everything is fine. The waitresses do their best to make sure you have a nice time. But they can only do so much. We were there on a Wednesday evening. Only 2 other tables had guests. We were there on a Friday night a few months ago and there were several more tables with people, and there was a pianist, which was very nice. The food was the same however. We plan to give it one more try and order a pizza. Hopefully, Jimmy will have improved in his cooking skills by then! Go, Jimmy! You can do this!
