Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Came back ordered the house made tortilla chips, excellent. Also got a shredded pork and shredded beef taco, $3 each. Really like the heirloom corn, flour, butter tortilla. All by itself has a wonderful corn smell, great flavor and was still warm from being toasted on the flat griddle. Ordered three tacos, $13.99 with rice and beans and a $1.49 up charge to make one a Carna Asada The other two were an Al Pastor and Carnitas. Excellent flavors. The street taco thickness of fresh made tortillas is pretty thin, wish there was an option to double up so the meat filling doesn’t break free. Minuscule sauce plastic containers. The sauces are bright, fresh and delicious. Parking is a challenge as this area of Garden City is a mixture of new and old houses, businesses and lots of driveways. Worth a revisit and decent value for the money. I want to try the fresh made tortillas chips, served in an oil stained brown bag, a good indication of freshly made.

Rosa is a cute little taco spot in Garden City that keeps it simple in the best way. With a small, focused menu, their al pastor tacos are the standout—juicy, flavorful, and wrapped in fresh tortillas. The horchata is smooth and refreshing, and the house-made salsas add just the right kick to every bite. Prices are fair for the quality, and the vibe is laid-back but stylish. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting, whether you’re stopping by after a bike ride on the Greenbelt or meeting friends for a casual night out. @sultryguides

Chips have excellent flavor, crunch, and salt level. My carnitas taco was under seasoned but the fresh tortilla was very good. These tacos are larger than a two-bite taco truck taco but otherwise the menu is similar.
