This place is like eating at your friend’s house, the food isn’t necessarily how you would fix it, but it’s still really good and comforting. First, they definitely give you good portions for the price. You won’t leave here hungry. We both ordered two meat meals which come with three sides as well as corn muffins. Corn muffins are delicious and moist and delicate. I would eat a whole basket of these if they brought them. I ordered the chicken leg quarter and chicken pot pie. The leg quarter was moist and falling apart. I enjoyed it, my husband did not. If you like super tender moist chicken leg quarters, you will love it. If you are looking for a more baked crisp skin chicken pass on this choice. The chicken pot pie was not a traditional pot pie. I prefer a creamier center and pie crust. It was good though. It was chicken green beans and carrots with a bready topping. I would not order this again, but it was still good eating. My husband ordered the meatloaf and smothered pork chop. The pork chop was good and tender. I have seen some reviews saying the pork chop is dry. While not super moist it is very tender. Definitely worth trying. The meatloaf is a standard traditional meatloaf with a ketchup sauce. Black eyed peas and collard greens were prepared well. They were earthy but well washed prior to cooking. The greens are not as vinegary as I like but it had a nice warmth to it. The black eyed peas were cooked well but needed salt. The mashed potatoes were great. I wouldn’t skip these and would absolutely order them again. The menu changes and they may start with a certain number of items and then run out. Call and ask, they are always nice on the phone! Overall, this is a great place to eat with a great value. We took an entire big plate home between the two of us. The food is made here not some frozen prepackaged garbage, reheated at a premium like so many places these days. The bill was a little over $40 after tip. The atmosphere is homey and everyone is friendly. At first the words “feed shack” kind of made me not want to try it, but now I totally get it. It’s down home, old fashioned comfort food that fills you up.

Hearty portions and local charm at Roscoe’s Feed Shack! What a gem! Roscoe’s is delightfully odd and eclectic, with walls covered in local photos and art that give it real character. I got the two-meat option (you can choose 1 meat, 2 meats, or all-you-can-eat) and was blown away by the portions. My plate was loaded with roasted chicken, a breaded cutlet with sauce, mashed potatoes with gravy, carrots, and green beans. The German chocolate cake for dessert was delicious too. Fair warning: the servings are HUGE. I had to take half my meal home, and I came hungry! The food is solid comfort fare, well-prepared, and the value is exceptional. If you’re looking for good home-style cooking in a quirky, community-focused atmosphere, Roscoe’s Feed Shack is the place. Just make sure you bring your appetite!

We were greeted as we walked in the door, and made to feel very welcome. We had never been there before and they explained that we choose meat and veg and they plate it for us. We were served our drinks and cornbread and enjoyed our meals. The meatloaf, turkey and dressing and beef stroganoff were all delicious, along with all the sides. We all tried each others' foods, because everyone's plates were mouthwatering to look at! We even shared cake for dessert. Highly recommend for the service, the charming atmosphere and the delicious food! If we are in Stillwater agin, we MUST go here!
