Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

My friends and I went to Rumi’s for dinner on Valentine’s Day night during my bestie’s bachelorette weekend in Atlanta. We had a 6pm reservation and it was so busy when we got there. A popular spot for Valentine’s Day! While the evening did not start out great since we ended up with a 30 minute wait and was not given any kinds of updates until our bride had to go talk to the manager, they really made it up to us by giving us a discount for our meal and checking in so much throughout the night. That was very kind! Our server was wonderful and was so helpful in giving us suggestions and answering all of our questions. We ended up getting our meal family style, as was the recommendation from our server, which was definitely the way to go for the group of 7 of us! We ordered the Lamb Rack, Chicken Barg, Chilean Sea Bass, Soltani Kabob, Grilled Vegetables, Roasted Tomatoes with Yogurt, Kale & Grapefruit Salad, and the Mirza Ghasemi. The server also gave us Herb Basmati Rice, Lentil & Raisin Basmati Rice, and Saffron Basmati Rice to have with the rest of our meal. I don’t drink alcohol so I got the Rumi’s Passionfruit Soda which was tart and very refreshing. The rest of the girls got many different cocktails and wine and all said they were really good! We decided not to drive to the restaurant since we had a night out after dinner planned, but just in case you do decide to drive, the restaurant has free valet so just bring some cash for a tip. There is a lot of traffic generally in that area of Atlanta so I’d plan ahead for that too if you do have a reservation with them.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rumi’s Kitchen in Alpharetta is truly a five star experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant yet upscale, making it perfect for both a special night out and a relaxed dinner with friends. The design is beautiful, warm lighting, elegant décor, and a lively energy that makes the entire space feel welcoming. The food is outstanding. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The kabobs are perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, and the saffron rice is some of the best I have ever had. The appetizers and spreads are just as impressive and ideal for sharing. You can tell that a great deal of care goes into both the ingredients and preparation. Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. The staff took time to make recommendations and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal. If you are in Alpharetta and looking for an exceptional dining experience, Rumi’s Kitchen should be at the top of your list. I will absolutely be returning.

I came here for my birthday. I absolutely loved every part of this restaurant. The fine dining has the most amazing architecture through the decor, the food was immaculate with flavor, including the Persian ice cream sandwich, it was very delicious. Also, I can’t forget to mention the server Carlos, he was absolutely sweet and generous. I loved that he made my dining experience enjoyable by including my friend pieces to enjoy the ice cream sandwich. I’ll definitely be back.
