Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Saffron Circle is good for authentic Indian and an Americanized atmosphere. We tried several of the old stand bys like butter chicken and tika masala. I ventured out and hit the Dhaba Special Chicken Curry which was served on a red hot iron skillet covered with a banana tree leaf. It was very good. Portions were right and the price was reasonable. Garlic cheese naan was good. Service as attentive and they accommodated our two babies very nicely! The rice was good, but plain white when it is common to get richly flavored rice at nice Indian restaurants today. We'd go back.

Disappointing Experience! We visited for the buffet and were quite disappointed. While there were a good number of options, the quality of many items was not up to the mark. The chicken dishes—Chicken 65, tandoori chicken, and butter chicken—didn’t taste fresh, seemed undercooked, and had a strong meaty smell. Even the shrimp in the shrimp thokku had an off-putting odor, and the fish starter was very chewy. The honeydew drink was overly sweet and hard to finish. Naans were also undercooked, and the chutney served with the masala dosa was cold and bland. We informed the staff about the undercooked chicken, but nothing was done about it. On the positive side, gulab jamun was soft, juicy, and delicious. The chaat was enjoyable, especially with the green and tamarind chutneys. Chickpea salad, Sambar and Paneer Makhani were also good. Despite the variety, most dishes didn’t meet expectations, making the overall experience underwhelming. Considering the quality of the food, the price didn’t feel justified.

Very warm and inviting place. I have been to their other resto around town so food is very delicious as expected. Staff were very nice and attentive as well.
