Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Fast, friendly service. We opted to eat outside. I got eggs, bacon, toast and a waffle. My friend got eggs and biscuits and gravy. My waffle was a bit doughy/underdone. I didn't mention it to the staff. Decent prices. Cute Tshirts for sale. Fun, quirky atmosphere inside.

Usually a Favorite, But This Visit Was Off We visited Sam's in Lake Havasu City last month, and while we’ve had great experiences here before, this visit missed the mark. I came in early and was seated at a table that still had a tip left on it. A staff member removed it—which I understand—but the way it was handled felt a bit uncomfortable, like I might be suspected of taking it. Then another staff member seemed concerned about the missing tip, which delayed taking my drink order. The place was nearly empty, but the staff just seemed annoyed to be there. I ordered the scrambled eggs, and they tasted like Egg Beaters—solid yellow with no whites at all, almost like boxed eggs. Not great. The biscuits and gravy I got were also disappointing—the biscuits tasted freezer-burned, and I stopped after a few bites. My wife ordered over-easy eggs and sausage, and unfortunately, she found a hair in her eggs. To their credit, the staff did take her meal off the bill. One thing I’ve always liked about Sam’s is their great selection of flavored coffee creamers—that’s a nice touch. We don’t want to bash the place because we’ve had great meals here before, but this day just wasn’t it. We’ll definitely give it another try, though.

Sam’s Place is a great brunch spot! We came in with a big group of 13 and they did an awesome job getting us all seated outside together, which we really appreciated. The food was amazing, everything came out fresh, tasty, and worth the visit. The only small thing was that the older lady helping us could’ve been a bit more cheerful, but overall the experience was still really good. We’d definitely come back for the food thanks yall 😍
