What an absolute gem for us to find! My husband and I were visiting for the weekend and discovered this place around the corner from our hotel. We tried the Khachapuri, khinkali special (a combo of all 4 options), and the chakhohbili - the food was incredibly flavorful, filling, and just all around delicious. I definitely recommend bringing friends with you to share the food because you’ll certainly have leftovers otherwise. Our server was very helpful in offering recommendations that embodied authentic Georgian cuisine. Service was great and we will absolutely be back when we’re in the area. Sami Sumeli is a must stop.

The Georgian eggplant is almost as good as the one I make at home (and that’s saying a lot 😉). Great service, cozy atmosphere, and nice Georgian music that really completes the experience. We had an amazing experience at Sami Sumeli! The food was absolutely delicious — the beef Khinkali dumplings were perfectly seasoned and juicy, the Adjarian Khachapuri was rich, warm, and comforting, and the Beef Lula Kebab was full of flavor and cooked just right. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service made everything even better. Special thanks to Olga, who took such great care of us and made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Georgian and European dishes done right!
