My wife Becky and I ended up spending a couple of days in Mtn Home and found this great restaurant just off I-84 exit 95 called "Savory Layne Steakhouse". The atmosphere was great the food & price was exceptional. And to top it off our waitress, Becca made us feel at home and brought everything together with ease. We ate there both nights. For dinner the first night I had smoked brisket, loaded baked potato, with three smoked bacon wrapped poppers. It was perfectly smoked and tender not only did it look good the taste was out if this world. Becky had a chicken strip basket. She said it was the best she'd ever had. The second night I had liver and onions, mashed potatoes, and a bow of smoked baked beans. Becky had a Chipotle chicken wrap. They both were great! Then to top it off the second night we aso had desert. I had warmed up apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and Becky had pumpkin cheese cake. This restaurant has it all!! Plenty of options to choose from and at a very reasonable price too. If you ever get a chance to eat there, you'll be happy you did.

I wish we never came here. The steak was supposed to be medium well and it looked rare. It mostly had fat then meat. And it was hard to chew. The mash potatoes were whatever. The potato wedge skins were more burnt the crispy . It sucks that we had to pay 27 dollars for a steak that was barely edible. The server was nice. But I wish we never even went there & def won't be going back.

Food was top notch. Ordered a ribeye with mushrooms and apple pie for dessert. Friendly staff. Big gravel parking lot out back if you’re in a semi or an RV.
