Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I stumbled upon Selita’s Restaurant and Bar while scrolling through Google looking for an intimate spot for a solo night out, and it was exactly what I was looking for. The area is great, and a huge plus: there is plenty of street parking that is metered but free after 6 PM. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by one of the owners. I chose to sit at the bar, which allowed me to really take in the beautiful, sophisticated decor. The owner was incredibly nice and shared the history of the place and their vision for the future—it’s clear they truly care about the guest experience. The menu is sharp, focused, and tantalizing. I opted for the special menu, and it was outstanding: Appetizer: Large shrimp and asparagus in a red tomato sauce with toasted garlic bread. The flavors literally danced on my taste buds, finished with a perfect slight spicy kick. Wine: I paired this with a beautiful, full-bodied white wine that complemented the meal perfectly. Entree: The seafood pasta in a smooth, bold red sauce. Every piece of seafood was cooked to perfection and seasoned impeccably. I can honestly say it was the best seafood pasta I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a spot with heart, style, and incredible food, Selita’s is it. I’ll definitely be back!

Definitely recommend Selita’s for anyone and everyone! With new ownership, the place has taken a turn for the better. Everything is freshly made in house. The pizza crust is so light and does not leave you feeling bloated. The grilled salmon is definitely a top contender entree, as well. It’s cooked perfectly and no dryness whatsoever. The calamari and zucchini friti is a great shareable appetizer, and the salmon ceviche is an excellent option, too. I will definitely come back here again to try other dishes!!!

I really wanted to love this place—the decor is adorable and the team is incredibly nice! Unfortunately, the food and service didn't hit the mark during our visit. We ran into some issues with the execution of the dishes: the scallops were quite gritty and sandy, and they were inconsistent in size. Additionally, the short ribs were surprisingly tough and difficult to eat. While the staff did kindly ask how everything was, we didn't feel it was worth bringing up at the time. We had already waited quite a while for our food to arrive and simply didn't want to wait any longer for a remake. Between the disorganized service and the underwhelming meal, it was hard to justify the price point. It may have been an off night, but the experience unfortunately turned us off from returning.
