Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

You guys know how much I support local but especially young entrepreneurs doing amazing things against the odds. You also know that my favorite restaurant in the World is Semo Pasta + Wine. Drew Statz and his wife Michelle have created something so incredibly beautiful in food, flavor, and experience on top of having the nicest staff as well as being accommodating to guests. I unfortunately have had to give up nightshade category foods due to my Crohn's disease progression (give up potatoes and watch the weight melt off) Now it takes so much work when eating out at restaurants. I can figure it out and have been and I refuse to let it stop me from enjoying time and memories to be made. But now for two times I have been able to order there and they met my accomodations ( even though I really try to not mention it) with the most amazing options. I tell you this because there are so many of us that struggle with food restrictions so to see them not only meet the celiac community every day, but to make that effort ( I'm pretty sure Chef Audrey was the go to last night) is worth reminding you the drive is worth it Please check them out, make a reservation, buy the pasta they have at stores in Omaha, and absolutely try Michelle's beet bread- it was a hidden gem. Appreciative always of the thoughtfulness and kindness that was exuded

Awesome experience! Fabulous gluten free options! Enjoyed trying white truffles in season! Definitely get the bread butter flight appetizer also! Will be back.

Semo in Fremont blew us away. The chef/owner greeted us himself, and from that moment on everything was exceptional. The food is fresh, local, and crafted with real artistry. The wine list? World-class—curated and supported by a sommelier. I’ve eaten across Nebraska, and this is the best restaurant in the state. Semo could rival New York or Chicago dining—but with a charm you’ll only find here.
