Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We had the lunch buffet and it was quality food. The selection of dishes isn't as wide as some buffets, but definitely enough to have real variety for one meal. Every dish was high quality. They had an Indian version of vegetable tempura that was wonderful. Endless naan. Also a sizeable selection of varied sauces and garnishes so you can recreate any dish as you please. The mango lassi is very good and free along with Indian chai tea made with milk and cardamon. The staff is very friendly and they walk around with naan and other food and make sure your glasses are full. We will definitely be back

We love the buffet at Seva! Favorites include butter chicken, naan, tandoori chicken, mango lassi, and rice pudding. It was very crowded today, but the staff efficiently kept everything restocked. Sundays are busy, but it’s absolutely worth it.

I've been coming to this place for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. For some reason, there is salt and pepper shakers at every table - Forget about needing them! The food is wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff work hard, and are kind and generous. And the vibe of the restaurant feels very authentic. If you are in Kansas City and want Indian Cuisine, this is your spot!
