I visited Shallo’s Antique Restaurant & Brewhaus on Valentine’s Day and unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to past visits. I’ll start with the positive — the burger itself had good flavor. That said, the bun was falling apart which made it difficult to eat and took away from the overall quality. The restaurant was extremely busy, which was expected for the holiday, but service felt stretched beyond capacity. We had long gaps with no server check-ins and I ultimately had to find a different server just to take my payment. One of the bigger disappointments for me was the homemade potato chips. I remembered loving them from previous visits, but this time they just didn’t deliver — either in freshness or flavor. Seating also played a role in the experience. Our table was placed directly in a high-traffic walkway, and staff and guests were constantly passing by. The gentleman seated behind me had to apologize multiple times after bumping into me due to the tight spacing. Lastly, the menu advertises a “large slice” of carrot cake for dessert. The portion we received didn’t really reflect that description, especially for the price. I understand holiday crowds put pressure on any restaurant, but this visit felt like an off night across several areas — food consistency, service, and overall comfort. I’ve had better experiences here in the past and hope this was just a one-time situation.

Our sandwich’s and onion rings were cooked perfectly. Our server went above and beyond with some extra sauces. This is a fantastic mom and pop place with great atmosphere and good food. Also, special thanks to the chefs. Keep up the good work.

I LOVE when a restaurant hits with a unique aesthetic and great food! Even better with joyful staff, which Sidney provided for us tableside! The food is very flavorful, and the salad dressings are homemade. It is like bar food, but elevated to include things like Mahi fish tacos, and charbroiled steak. Prices are great, and the mixed drinks done well!! I've decided to become a regular lol. And if beer is your thing, they have a 6 page menu for only the beer offerings. You'd never guess this cool place is tucked away in a strip mall space next to Ulta. Trust me you will be transported once inside to another place and time.
