Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Thanks for taking care of us mama! First thing she said when we walked in is "you are my kids". She took care of us and gave us a free entree to try. So so good. The coffee is herbal, and the food is dynamic. Amazing flavor, please stop by here!

We were traveling through and saw the high ratings and thought we’d try a variety of dishes. The small home restaurant is well cared for, the person who cared for us was lovely, caring and blessed our meal and us. The food was fresh and delicious. We chose mild because of one preference but she was very accommodating to offer different spice levels. Truly a delightful and satisfying experience. Not pictured, a piping hot sauce. We had multiple drinks with our meal and the total was $40.

My friend and I saw the five star reviews while visiting Sioux Falls and decided to stop by, considering we’d never tried Ethiopian food before and wanted to check it out. We are so glad we did! Upon entering the restaurant, our noses were greeted by the delicious scents of roasting meats and vegetables, exotic spices tying it all together. My friend and I had no idea what to order and the owner(The sweetest, most kind woman you will ever meet) was quick to explain what was in each dish and how spicy each one was. My friend and I shared a plate between us of two dishes and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and hot, and the owner does all of the cooking herself in the back. She puts her entire heart and soul into her food and it shows. The environment is so relaxed and feels like a home away from home where you don’t have to put up any sort of false pretense or airs just because you’re in a restaurant— You can simply be yourself. At the end of the meal, I simply had to hug the owner and express to her my thanks for her kindness. Her soul shines through her eyes in such a way that you just want to embrace her. She told us that she was simply pleased to have been able to give us the experience of trying Ethiopian food for the first time. She said that she is glad to provide such an experience for everyone who comes in and loves the opportunity whenever it presents itself. She then blessed me and my friend, and we parted like we’d known each other for some time, though we’d only just met. The owner and her restaurant are a memory I’ll remember for some time to come.
