Shwarma Bay stands out for its unique flavors and spices, particularly in its rice and hot sauce. Reviewers praise the chapli kebabs for their Afghan taste and the combination of savory, spicy, and sweet flavors in the sauces. The 2-way combo platter is also a hit, with perfectly spiced rice complementing the meats. Be prepared for a relatively short wait, with some reviewers noting that the line is shorter than at nearby Adel's. Service is friendly and quick, with wait times of 10-15 minutes or less.

Top notch Halal 👌 With it's captivating unique flavors, Shwarma Bay stands out from the rest. This is not your typical Halal cart food. This has its own spices and flavor profile. You can taste the spices in the rice. The hot sauce is more of a creamy hot sauce unlike the red spicy 🔥 hot you tend to get from other halal carts. Chicken and beef well made and sauces on point. Shwarma Bay is in its own category

The line was shorter than Adel’s which is about a block away, so if you’re in the mood for good food but don’t want to wait so long, come here. The chapli kebabs are unique with an afghani taste. What I loved the most was the taste of the sauces combined; it’s really inexplicable, but if I had to describe it, it was savory, spicy, a hint of sweet, and just hits all your tastebuds. About $14-15 for a combo platter, so it’s pretty good. They open ~7:30pm. If you’re not there early, you can expect maybe a 30min wait.

Had their 2 way combo platter, 2 days back to back during my visit to NYC! It was absolutely delicious! A lot of people will talk about the meat (which were great) but for me, the rice was the stand out - perfectly spiced which complimented the meats very well. Service was really friendly and quick as well. Waited no more that 10/15mins during both times. No long queues, but as good, if not better than others.
