Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Looking for a hardy straight forward breakfast? This is your place. Chicken fried steak was well seasoned with great breading. Hash browns had a good crisp to them and the bacon was smokey and cooked perfectly.

Lunch 10/8/25: This must have been an off-day. The restaurant was short staffed. And they ran out of the chicken breast for the chicken burger. Chicken strips were substituted instead, which were ok. The cheese overpowered the chicken. Not sure what the au jus was for. The chili bowl was very good. The decaf coffee was good, but it took 3 requests to get a refill. The decor was interesting…

The reviews and funky décor pulled us in, but the food and service will have us coming back. Everyone was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The vibe is old-school, with fun decorations from past eras that give it a ton of character. I went with a tuna sandwich—simple, right? But the way it was made showed the cook really cares. The bread was perfectly toasted, just the right crunch, and the tuna salad was flavorful and balanced with the tomato. I also tried the cheesy enchilada soup, which hit the spot and tied the whole meal together. For a place with a straightforward menu, they nail it. If you’re in Port Angeles, definitely worth stopping in and trying it out!
