Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Highly recommend if you want delicious Greek food and outstanding service!! My family stopped to eat here while visiting Columbia, and we were immediately greeted with kindness and attentiveness. Then, we got the food and that was equally amazing! Since we couldn’t decide what we wanted to eat, we tried to sample of different mini dishes, and they were all superb - fried fish, cheeseburger, and chicken souvlaki. Highly recommend!! Do stop by if you get the chance, you won’t regret it!

Visited Shomars at lunch on a Friday. Was able to walk right up and place my order. Their menu is a mixture of Greek and southern, with lots of fried seafood options. I opted for a grilled chicken sandwich and crinkle cut fries. Also of note, they have Pepsi, so I opted for sweet tea lol. They give you a number to place on your table and bring out the food when it’s ready. I’m not sure how long I waited, but it seemed like only a few minutes, so service was great. The sandwich was decent but could’ve used a little seasoning. Everything was hot and fresh. Worth returning.
