Sipeos Restaurant & Bar

We had a really lovely dinner at Sipeos in Walnut Creek. We started with a beautiful mezze plate and ordered the eggplant, beet, and hummus dips. The presentation was gorgeous and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The dips were excellent, rich and bright, and clearly made with care. My only small suggestion would be to serve them with small spoons, which would make sharing a little easier. The butternut squash soup was a standout. It was deeply savory and comforting, which was a nice surprise since many butternut squash soups tend to be sweet. This one was perfectly balanced. Service was attentive and welcoming throughout the meal. For dessert we tried the chocolate pomegranate torte. Unfortunately it tasted like it had been pulled from the freezer and thawed rather than freshly made. The vegan whipped cream and fresh strawberries served with it were delicious though. Overall we had a wonderful meal and will definitely be back. We will probably just skip dessert next time.

love this place! i am not vegetarian but didnt miss meat at all during our quick lunch. service was great our server was kind and attentive. the mezze platter was great, and the veggies in it were very fresh. loved the pizza as well. the menu is small but well curated which is what matters. hope to come again and have the same experience. want to try the dubai chocolate sundae next. first restaurant in walnut creek i’ve been throughly impressed by!

I’ve known about Sipeos for awhile now but I’ve never ventured in until recently and boy have I been missing out! What an adorable Mediterranean restaurant. So chic but understated and calming inside with a lovely outdoor patio area (I sat at the bar one night and came back the next day for their great happy hour and enjoyed that on the patio. Even though it was a chilly winter night it was lovely with the outdoor heaters. I had their delicious $7 gluten free pizza flatbread and a perfect $10 glass of Wente Chardonnay my second time there during happy hour. The first night Justina (such a kind bartender) made me a delicious mocktail and was happy to talk to me about the different kinds of cocktails and mocktails that they serve (so many non-alcoholic options that are quite good!) Cole and Hetal were both very kind and welcoming and I had a lovely conversation with one of the hostesses, Charlotte as well! All in all I had such a great time I went back the very next day. Highly recommend if you’re out in downtown Walnut Creek to check it out!
