What a great find today! If you have not tried Snaps, which has been a part of Jasper history since 1872, it is an absolute MUST! You know when the menu description of the Buffalo Chicken Dip includes "a half-pound of pulled chicken blended with our own Buffalo sauce, sour cream and a plethora of cheeses" (& house made tortilla chips)- you can't go wrong! 😂😂😂 And it did not disappoint.🤤 I highly recommend adding a bit of their blue cheese dressing with each chip (it came with my side salad)- it was so thick and creamy.😍 My hubby got the Buffalo Style Breaded Pork Tenderloin 🤯 that is tenderized in-house! He is usually offended when a pork tenderloin doesn't come the size of a dinner plate with an Oreo-size bun in the middle (you know- true IN style), but the hoagie roll this one came on made perfect sense! It was bakery fresh and held the sandwich together nicely, but was able to be pressed down so you didn't have to unhinge your jaw to take a bite. I had the Lasagna, which was prepared and baked in its own dish- so it was fresh out of the oven (check out the cheese pulls 🥰) and came with yummy garlic bread, perfectly seasoned and prepared - not too crunchy (crumbly) or too soft. Wonderful service, unique, historical decor, and great food- what more can you ask for? ❤️

Passing through Jasper and we like to try unique local places. And I am SO GLAD WE DID! Great service. Great food. Cold beer. Absolutely no complaints. We tried the gater bites. They were pretty good. The boom boom sauce was fabulous. My husband got the tenderloin and onion rings and said both were the best he has had in a long time (and he is super picky). I got the pork and Mac n cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries. Wowzers! It was amazing! And huge. The other half will be my dinner tonight. The sourdough was perfectly toasted. The pork was tender with a nice sweet sauce and the Mac n cheese was just the right amount of cheesy. So moist and good. We will definitely return!!! We hear their dinners are what they are known for, so I guess we'll have to try dinner never time. I definitely recommend this place!!!

We’re from NWI we do a quick look at reviews and take our chances from there. If you are in Jasper you need to know to about this local gem! Unassuming from the outside it’s atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Our server was Heather K and she did such a great job, we didn’t want for a thing, she was on point! Food was delicious, hot, and full of flavor. They also have an outdoor seating area that has a great vibe but tonight was a little too chilly we just peaked over the fence as we walked by. Snaps bar was buzzing with guests enjoying themselves oh and they have alligator on the menu (hence) the name…. Check them out!
