Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

What a.great little restaurant. Food is excellent. Rice bowls, tacos and chicken sandwiches. Think crispy pork belly and Korean beef. Just absolutely delicious. Great service and ready to make your order as you wish. I almost always stop here when driving through Morehead.

Sole Ave is what happens when street food grows up but keeps its edge. Every bite is a color-saturated hit of heat, acid, crunch, and flavor. Housemade tortillas, fresh herbs, bold seasoning nothing feels mass-produced. The fried chicken sandwich? Crispy, juicy, layered with funk and fire. The tacos? Artful without being precious. And that potato salad with crispy onion topping? Criminally underrated. Expect bold flavors, smart textures, and zero shortcuts. This isn’t Tex-Mex it’s street-level soul food with a chef’s brain.

Date night idea: go to Junkyard Brewing, order all of the things takeout from Sol Ave Kitchen. This was amaaaaaazing. We loved the elote bravas, and each taco was uniquely delicious. Super fresh ingredients plus really thoughtful flavor combos. Their space is beautiful and the patio is magical in case you’re not feeling like brews next door. Ten out of ten, will eat here again…and again!
