Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We spent a few lovely hours in this cozy place enjoying a variety of authentic Afghan dishes. We started with saffron tea, which was truly refreshing, with a delicate blend of saffron and cardamom. It set the tone perfectly for the meal. We tried several dishes, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. The owner was very kind, and we had a meaningful conversation about the history behind this beautiful place. One thing that really stood out to me was the number of awards they have received in such a short time since opening (just about five years ago). That recognition clearly reflects the quality of their food and service.

If you want authentic Afghan cuisine, this is the place to be. This place is amazing and would definitely go here again. The owner was very friendly and overall it’s a great atmosphere.

The food here was so good! I lived in the Baltimore area for a while and have wanted to try this place for years. I am so sad that I didn’t try it until after I moved away! My friend and I went here for a late lunch. I have had Afghan food before and my friend had not. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We thought the portions were very good for lunch.
