As we left church my wife mentioned how she'd like to go to a salad bar. I quickly asked Google for restaurants with salad bars and this unknown place was an option. I was a bit unsure about whether it was a restaurant, a wedding venue, both, or even open because of the naming of the original Google search simply calling it Stone Bridge. Either way we decided to continue on, knowing other options would be available if it was closed. I'm so glad that Farm Table was open. The food was solid, meaning some of the best Southern home style cooking we've had in years. Their self-serve salad bar had so many options. Same goes for their buffet where the servers would put whatever you wanted to try on your plate. We tried a little bit of this and that, with me skipping the Mac n cheese because I typically find it to be dry and boring. My wife insisted I taste hers, and I remember telling her that I'd have to get some next time because it was just that good. The creamed corn reminded both of us of our late grandmother's cooking. We tried several of their desserts and decided everything in the place must be homemade as it was definitely the best food we've had in a buffet type place. As we were leaving I joked about us coming back next weekend only to have my wife remind me, we can't eat like that too often. Prepare yourself for some amazing food if you venture out to this place that I suspect to be somewhat unknown. Also be ready to leave full and with a big smile on your face despite having gained weight after your experience. We will definitely be back!
