We usually head to Stray Hen Cafe in Elmhurst for their great breakfast and coffee—but today we decided to stop in for lunch, and we are happy we did. Tried the Double Cheeseburger and it was phenomenal! Two perfectly grilled patties, melted cheese, raw onion, and mustard on a soft toasted bun — every bite was juicy and packed with flavor. Friendly service, cozy café vibe, and clearly a lunch menu worth exploring. Whether you’re a regular breakfast-goer or just passing through Elmhurst, this spot deserves a visit any time of day.

It was my first time here! I was visiting a friend and she raved that their breakfast was really good! I was a bit hungover, but I did make it to check it out! I know it was good because usually when I’m hungover, I can’t eat and I ate half! The service was quick and attentive! We also traveled through a down pouring of snow, so I think that says something too! Check the place out, their menu has something for everyone!

Decent food for the price. The coffee mug had a lipstick stain on it, but the waiter gave me a new mug. I felt the portions were just okay, I didn't get that much hash browns and they only five you 1 slice of toast. The mini waffles were cute though, I definitely liked the banana and the apple the most because they added a spread to it. I would try it again if I was in the area.
