Suda Thai Cuisine

Went in for lunch today and was fairly disappointed. Very limited menu during lunch time. Their lunch "specials" are just served with white rice. Most Thai places do an entree and a curry or Phad Thai on the side- a side of cheap white rice isn't special at all. We ordered crab puffs (rangoon) and fresh rolls. We both had Phad Thai lunch special. The Rangoon had almost ZERO filling in them, so we basically got fried wonton wrapper- very underwhelming and way over priced for what you get. The fresh rolls were ok- nothing to write home about. The best part about them was the peanut sauce. The shrimp Phad Thai was way too spicy. I can handle a fair amount of spice but didn't feel like spicy food, so I ordered 2 star spice and it was closer to a 4 spicy. The noodles were way undercooked, not even al dente, but straight not cooked anywhere close enough- so they were still somewhat hard. There was not enough sauce either so the noodles were stuck in one big ball. I will say the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I got a strawberry smoothie and they use a powdered mix- not even real fruit. Service was good and very prompt eventhough I had to ask for my smoothie when our apps came out while the kid up front played around on his phone. Just generally not a good experience. I've eaten here periodically in the past and remember the food being much better so hoping today was just a fluke.

Really good portion of food and it tasted fresh! I also got the black sticky rice with coconut milk and that was also fresh since the rice was still warm. I expected it to be cold, but the texture and fluffiness of the rice was probably better warm. It was not too sweet and I loved it! Overall, really well-rounded flavors and execution!

We had a LARGE take out order (26 items) and everything was good. One of my relatives is a Thai native and she thought the food was excellent. Staff was nice, called me for clarifications on a few items, and helped carry food to car. Strongly recommend this family owned place.
