Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I went to Sunrose California Eatery for brunch and the staff were really warm and welcoming. The food was delicious! The only small hiccup was that after ordering another coffee, we were asked a few times if we needed anything else while we were still drinking it. It felt like they might have wanted to give our table to someone else, which made it a bit tricky to fully enjoy the coffee. Not a big deal, but I wish they hadn’t rushed us 😂. Overall, a lovely place and I’d definitely come back!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. The service was so welcoming. The environment was clean and spacious. Almost like a modern tulum vibe. You aren’t sitting on top of the next table like most restaurants. We were greeted by the owner, Mark. He was a pleasure. Our server Bianca was so knowledgeable, polite and very helpful. Amazing 10/10 service. The food was 10/10. We ordered the sunrose salad, crudo (yellowtail), ricotta gnocchi, Thai chicken pasta and the smash burger with 2 drinks. Every single dish was delicious but the smash burger left our mouths watering. Sunrose will be our new go to place to eat. Definitely going to try the brunch next.

I grew up in this area, and honestly, this mall used to feel so dead. It’s wild how much it’s transformed. I was back in town visiting a friend and decided to check it out, and wow, totally different vibe now. Even for a weekday lunch, the place was buzzing with people. Definitely make a reservation if you want a specific time, because I’m glad I booked ahead. The atmosphere is super cute, and the food really surprised me, in the best way. I came in with low expectations, but everything we ordered was on point. Service was excellent, too. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. One highlight I have to mention: I asked for hot sauce on the side, and they brought out this house spicy sauce (not sure of the exact name) that was SO GOOD. If you’re into heat, definitely ask for it. It really takes the food up a notch.
