Sunset Island

I have been here before, today was not good. No one said hello to me. I ordered on the kiosk. the lady that came in after me. Ordered with one of the girls. i put my order in... literally order number 1. (i ordered a 16oz bowl.) lady after me order a crape and smoothie. she got it before me. waited 20 minutes... if i wasn't going to be late to work i would have asked for it to be remade. and for my bowl to be less than 16oz is outrageous for the price that i paid. i added photos so you can see. 12.6oz with the fruit and plastic. very unhappy. staff needs better training on hospitality and consistency.

This is a 5 star business all around! ☺️ We first discovered Sunset Island in September 2023 when visiting Vero on vacation. When we returned to Vero in December 2023 and July 2024, we put Sunset Island on the top of our list of places to visit. We are from the Dallas/Ft Worth area and have not come across a fruit bowl/açaí bowl place as high quality and tasty as Sunset Island! 😋 Pro top - get the Moana base in your bowl, you will not regret it 🤤 The popsicles are also fantastic (I get the coconut popsicle with chocolate syrup and coconut flakes). Another thing we notice is how hygienic the staff is. They wash their hands and wear gloves. My Mom who is vegan and my grandmother who is just a VERY picky eater both love to eat here! And lastly, and definitely not least, they are dog friendly! 🐕 Keep up the 5 star work as you are a huge reason why our Vero beach vacations are so special! ☺️

Induced Vomiting. I’ve been here at least 3 different times before and so far every time I’ve entered the establishment the service has been very apathetic. They usually make it abundantly clear that my being there is an inconvenience however in the past I would say the smoothies themselves could make up for it. Yesterday I came in and they gave me a smaller sized then they charged me for, barely blended my drink. Knowing how the service is here I didn’t bring up the fact that they over charged me to avoid what would undoubtedly been a really frustrating interaction either way. We drank our drinks and no more than 20 minutes later my boyfriend and I both vomited, him many more times than I did. It was the first thing we had eaten recently and came up almost immediately. We decided to have him see the doctor and nothing came back from it, so we have only been able to chalk it up to just some really bad smoothies.
