We went there during Christmas time while traveling to Houston to taste Indian food. I liked the food. The veg noodles were not that tasty. Both the veg and lamb biryani were good. The service was also quick. Paneer chili was also good. They had a clear menu section for veg and non-veg foods, which made it quick and easy for us to order.

This place was literally a saviour for us, who were looking for some authentic Indian food in Baton Rouge. The food was excellent - did not miss India at all. Excellent service and ambience. Highly recommend for someone visiting Baton Rouge and looking to satisfy their indian food cravings. Ample parking available.

The food and staff are amazing. I’ve been fortunate enough to have Indian food around the world, including in London, and Swagat is still one of my absolute favorite Indian restaurants. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are great. Additionally, and this is meant in the most positive way possible, anyone who enjoys music from the 2010s will love the music they play here. All in all having dinner here was the perfect end to my finals week, cheers!
