Sweet Fires

It was my first time having a hot pot dinner and it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted so warmly! Customer service is very important to me and this place went above and beyond on this! The restaurant was very clean as well as restrooms, very much a plus for me! My husband ordered a spicy meat hot pot, and it was actually very good! I ordered the coconut curry with dumplings and it was phenomenal! Both meals came with Tpumps tea, you get a choice of 3 or 4 choices of flavor tea. It was surprisingly affordable for how good the food is! My husband and I absolutely loved it here! We will continue to come and eat here whenever we want hot pot for dinner!

Quite possibly my favorite place I’ve had in the I.E. hands down such a an amazing place for a hot delicious meal! The hot pot 🍲 soup comes with a tea drink included with the meal at $12.99 and I always upgrade my drink to a large milk boba tea that’s so flavorful for $3 more definitely worth the price! I can’t say enough good things about this place! You order at the counter before you sit down at a table so I recommend maybe looking at the online menu to get an idea of what you might want to get but I highly recommend the Mala which is a spicy 🌶️ broth that’s really spicy so be prepared if you’re not into spicy food but if you are this is an amazing broth! The customer service is top notch and will easily answer any questions you have. I’m currently addicted to the curry broth which is better than any thai curry spot i’ve ever been to! The broth is more of a thick sauce that has that sweet and savory thai coconut taste to it that to me is leagues ahead of any thai restaurant i’ve been to. You then choose the style in which you want your hot pot served that ranges from the signature “sweet fire” way that includes fish cakes and noodles or you can get it with Dumplings 🥟 and noodles or you can get a massive portion of 12 dumplings which is what I have been doing and I always have leftovers. Last you choose your protein which I always get beef and it’s a tender thinly sliced beef in your soup this along with the chicken dumplings is a great serving of protein and i’ve liked going after an intense leg day at the nearby gym. It’s served with white rice 🍚 and you can ask for more at no extra cost. Our table is always served with a small appetizer which is such a nice and thoughtful gesture that’s not expected even more of a reason to give this place a try! Our waitress or sometimes waiter packs our leftovers up for us at the end and included another serving of white rice on the side to go with it which is such a nice touch for reheating later! All these things add up to a wonderful dining experience that if I could I would give them 10 stars as they deserve it. I already been back several times that being said they have a reward points system I’m literally one more order away from receiving an entire hot pot for free!

Honestly, if I could, I would rate the place well above 5 stars. From the customer service to the vibes to the food; everything was top tier. I'm glad I stopped by this little restaraunt, it's like I discovered a hidden gem out here in Upland. From the very start, I noticed the entire restaurant is very clean and organized and their choices for decorations are tasteful. When acknowledged at the front, they helped explain the menu in great detail and patiently answered all of my questions. They were also especially attentive and I didn't have to wait long to be helped when needing something. Additionally, they offered a lot of complimentary snacks and honored my requests when asked. They were also especially polite, friendly, and accommodating compared to other restaurants. I would share more of what they went out of their way to do during my visit but I also don't want to unintentionally encourage others to ask for things that might not be offered to every customer. I just so happened to be there alone and at a later time and I also misheard an employee and assumed customers were allowed certain accomodations such as specific refills. Anyway, customer service was amazing, and the food was just as splendid! I never had Daishi broth before and it was absolutely delicious! I loved the various options provided for their hot pots and shaved snow desserts and definitely ate my fill while I was there. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, even for someone eating alone at the restaraunt, and I will definitely be coming back with my friends and family.
