Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I have been coming here since the 80s. The owner-John-has always been friendly, Larry was there in the 80s as a server and is still there as a manager and is as friendly and helpful as he was in the past. Every server I’ve ever had has been friendly and efficient. The food is always excellent-warm biscuits, egg scramblers, key lime pie. And I LOVE the garden seating.

We stopped in for brunch and absolutely loved it. The eggs Benedict were delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Beyond the food, the vibe of this place really stands out. The café is filled with fun, beachy, quirky, and genuinely funny signs all over the space, which made it such a joy to look around. There’s also a lovely back patio with lots of tables and chairs, beautifully decorated and relaxed—perfect for lingering over brunch. One of the highlights was getting to meet the owner,John, who was fascinating to talk with and shared so much about the history of the place. You can really feel the heart and personality behind this café. Great food, great atmosphere, and wonderful people. We’ll definitely be back!

Very good food. Service is great. The atmosphere is the best part of this place. Super nice place, adorable decorations. Called ahead for 6 and they got the table ready for us.
