I cannot wait to come back and dishes which are unknown to me, and this place is perfect. My first visit last month was made amazing by the service and atmosphere of the place. I literally had aunty's serving me and sharing stories of Ethiopia with the most beautiful smile and energy. I started with some hot tea, and can tell you that it puts to shame in flavor and health, the typical Texas sweet tea. I had a chicken dish which I sadly do not recall, and I wonder if, while it was good, it's flavor was dialed down for the American palate, because I felt it was but with safe a flavor. This dish seems similar to the POLLO GUISADO in many Latin American countries and It would not surprise me. since we get many of our culinary and musical history from Africa. The spot is large, yet cozy and the price was adequate for the serving of the meal. However, I highlight that I had a super friendly, fast and courteous serving and can't wait to go back and feast while getting a cultural education. This is a family managed spot and encourage you all to try it and support it!!

I cannot recommend this place enough. I was very happy! I love Ethiopian food, and this place is very solid. I went with a group of 8, and their banquet options were perfect, especially with portion sizes. Half of us got the vegetarian banquet and the other half got some meat plates. Between us, we almost didn't finish! I thought everything we were served was very flavorful, and there were a ton of options. Even the coffee and tea were very solid. Our waitress was also extremely nice and conversational with us. Definitely coming back!

I came here for lunch with a big group of friends and everyone LOVED this place! The food was excellent, the people working here were very nice, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back! Only feedback I have for the owner is it was kind of busy and they seemed short staffed for how many people were there so it took a little longer to get some requests. We were understanding and still had a great experience but having more staff on weekends may be something to consider. Regardless, I hope people decide to visit and support this wonderful family owned restaurant. You can tell a lot of love and pride goes into the delicious dishes!
