Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I wish I took better photos but I remembered after we already dove in. The food and service were both fantastic. We had two kids with us and they were very accommodating and kind. They also were able to easily offer vegan options which was great for us. The veggie dal and tofu dal were perfect. The samosas were well seasoned and fried to perfection.

The owners are amazing. I am vegan and I owned a business right across the street and they would always make sure my food was completely vegan. They have vegan menu options but if there was something else I wanted that wasn't traditionally vegan, they would find a way to make it vegan for me whenever possible. The family is very hospitable, the food is consistently great, the prices are good for the amount of food you get. Indian food is my favorite type of food and I am happy to have a great spot locally to go to.

Its been years since I've reviewed Taste of India. I've been going there since 2000 and have never once been served a meal that wasn't excellent. 25 years of utter consistency is almost unheard of. Tonight, I got the chefs goat special and it was perfection. And I always get their samosas because no one makes better samosas than this restaurant. They're a treasure for the community.
