This place is a must try if you want to experience the authentic taste of India. If your worried about the spiciness don't worry there are things that aren't spicy like the Chicken Tikka Masala. The owner was very helpful and respectful. The chicken curry was very tender and delicious- not too spicy. The beef kabab was a 10/10. I would recommend this place to everyone in lakeland. The rice was cooked to perfection with a lot of different sauces to try. If you’re ever in lakeland and wonder where to go for Indian food go to Taste of India. Don't forget to try the Mango Lassi drink it’s also a 10/10. The Naan was so soft and easy to chew. The chicken biryani was more on the spicy side for me but the spices and flavors went together so well. Great customer service!

I stopped by Taste of India because it recently opened in Lakeland and I wanted to try it. Let me start by saying the owner is incredibly nice and attentive. He is able to answer any questions about the menu and he offers recommendations of which dishes pair well together. He prepares your food hot and fresh. I ordered garlic naan bread and because it was my first time, he provided a sample of vegetable paneer. Both were very delicious! I am usually sensitive to spice but the heat level was perfect, and the combination of flavors were palatable. I would highly recommend! I plan on going back and inviting my friends.

We walked in around 6pm and the AC was off, which made the visit uncomfortable from the start. The staff was friendly, but the food was disappointing. The Mango Lassi was room temperature instead of cold, good flavor, but not refreshing at all. The rice came out cold, and the curry had no flavor. We also ordered samosas that were very doughy. For the price, we expected much better. They even reused the appetizer dish for the dinner, which felt unprofessional. Unfortunately, not a good dinner option for us.
