What a treasure this place is. I’ve been going to Rascal’s family restaurant for over a decade and I had never tried Taste of Thaiyai which is next door. Frankly, I actually prefer this Thai place over Rascals now. The food is excellent and generous. The Tom Yum was Yummy. The spring rolls were excellent. The wings were perfect. The beef curry was very complex and tasty. Also had the shrimp salad and it was fresh and light. They were very busy for a Wednesday evening and there were a lot of take out orders as well. The entire restaurant was full yet the staff was friendly and professional. The service I give a solid A+ My only regret is not having tried Taste of Thaiyai sooner. Exceptional. Tonight we had the Tom Kha, special spring rolls, duck curry, beef curry and it was all excellent. Service is friendly and quick. A+ again! Updating Mar 19, 2024 After dining the last 3-4 times, the food has remained excellent however the service has taken a massive nose dive. Tables are dirty. Service is unfriendly and uncaring. I feel bad for the cooks in the back making great food while the staff up front are failing miserably. Will not go back till they change.
