Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe

My wife and I start the year by fasting until 6 p.m., and at that time, we eat a salad or veggie soup. We were in the area and wanted something pretty healthy. We thought it would be something flavorless, but we found the best food for this season of fasting at Taziki's: the veggies, the salad, and the veggie wrap. It was amazing; I almost felt guilty because it was so delicious. The place is clean, the service is homie, and the booths feel romantic. We will return. Alae at the register was soooo welcoming.

Absolutely disgusted with the food I received. To start off I placed an order for curbside pickup (I have severe nerve pain in my leg). My order was supposed to be finished at 6:30pm. I pulled into the parking lot at 6:25pm and checked in through the app to let them know I’m there. The app sent a message saying we’ll be right out. 6:55pm comes along and I’m still there waiting. I wind up dragging myself inside and my orders just sitting on the counter. Now for the food, I get home and unwrap my food which to start, the portion they give for the gyro looked like a kids gyro. I go to take a bite and saw what looked like hair. I did some digging and it was a large strand of someone hair (shown in the photo)which made me sick. After my wife watched me pull the hair out, she didn’t even want to touch her food. I rarely order from out and between the long wait where I had to go get the food myself and someone’s hair being in the food is unacceptable. I spent almost 32 dollars on food that will go in the trash. I’ll be contacting the restaurant tomorrow about this since there closed now. If you’re looking for gyros I’d recommend the gyro spot in fuquay varina because they’re fast, well priced and give large portions.

The staff was very helpful with navigating there menu due to allergies. We sat outside and our food was brought out shortly. Inside appeared to be comfortable and clean. Really nice prices and great food. Wife and I will definitely be going back often.
